Quiet often people will become convinced "they can't cook". Our experience is that anyone with passion for good eating can learn to cook well. 

Chef Andrew has almost a decade of experience teaching cookery at some of the most prestigous award winning cookery schools in Australia. Most recently he was Head Culinary Trainer for Crown Casino in Melbourne. This is your chance to take advantage of his infectious passion and expertise in cooking.

Masterclass no 1:
Artisan Baking

If you are playing with the idea of purchasing a wood fired oven this is the perfect masterclass for you. We can bring our portable wood fired oven to you and teach you how to use it. This class can still be conducted using your conventional home oven.

  • Start the morning with fresh baked croissants, danishes pastries & coffee.
  • Learn how to light a wood fired oven.
  • We provide you with a sample of our 19 yr old Sour dough starter and teach you how to use and maintain it.
  • Basic bread production - we will make Sour dough Baguette, Croissants & Danish pastries.
  • Chef Andrew will make Sour dough Pizza for lunch.
  • Baking of your Artisan breads

 Masterclass no 2:
Easy entertaining 3 course dinner

When you book a dinner party with us why no tie in a masterclass. Chef Andrew will entertain you and your guests with a cooking demonstration of the dishes being served. You can get hands on experience taking part in the cooking or simply sit back, watch and learn a few tips and tricks that you might like to use at your next event.

As with all of our Private chef dinners,  the menu is designed to suit your specific requirments.

Traditional French pastries & desserts

The skills needed to produce outstanding French pastries seem elusive  to many home cooks. Let Chef Andrew  show you how truely satisfying it is to make some of the products below useing traditional French Pastry techniques.

Masterclass no 4:
Basic Fresh cheeses

On the Mornington Peninsula we are lucky to have some amazing goat farms. For years i have been making my own fresh cheeses and would love to share this artisan skill with you. Once you have made your own goats milk feta and lactic curd you will never look back.

Masterclass no 5: 
Fresh pasta

Fresh Pasta is a staple in our home. Let us show you the basics of making a wide range of pasta's ranging from Fettucini to Canneloni and Ravioli.

Chef Andrew will also show you how to make some amazing pasta sauces base on products that are in season at the time of your masterclass.

Masterclass no 6:
Pork Masterclass

This is not a Masterclass for the faint of heart!.

Using a whole side of organic rare breed pork we will demonstrate some traditional butchery skills and break the pork down into its various cuts.

Following this participants will take part to create some amazing Charcuterie products including:

  • Canadian Maple Bacon
  • Brawn
  • Sausages
  • Ham
  • Terrines and pates


Chef Andrew will also produce a wonderful roast pork Lunch for all participants.
